Band of the Week-September 10

All ready for Sesame Street Live. I had to run to the music store and was a bit too lazy to run to the other side of town to get some stickers so I tried running into the neighboring Kmart. All they had were the small stickers you see and of course they were paper stickers. But then we saw Sesame Street wrapping paper. So the large Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird and Oscar are wrapping paper applied using Mod Podge. The smaller stickers are paper stickers and the letters are thick cardstock stickers, I also put a layer of mod podge under all these hoping it would help with removal. However with the Mod Podge under the paper stickers didn't stick well and the cardstock did even worse. So the entire thing has a layer of Mod Podge over it. This has really helped keep the stickers from peeling up. For the most part, I have been able to try and avoid the outside with Alcohol though I did have to spot clean some parts last night.

Coming Soon! Ready for our trip to the zoo and soccer season.

Band of the Week-September 4

Take 2 at painting. Last time I did 2 coats of paint followed by 1 coat of modge podge. It was chipping by the next morning and the stickers were pealing and taking the paint with it after only a couple days. This time I tried the tissue paper decoupage someone said was easier but it was just a giant mess so I pealed it off without even finishing. So this time I tried more protectant. 2 coats of paint followed by 2 coats of mod podge, d fish stickers and then 1 more coat of mod podge. The coat over the stickers wasn't planned as the paint wasn't pealing but the stickers were so I added it. This time too much mod podge. When I cleaned it with the alcohol it got sticky and the 3rd day of cleaning paint started coming off so I pealed it last night and we are back to white. The more layers though did hold up better, very few chips. But there is no way to avoid the outside with the alcohol while cleaning the inside. So maybe 2 coats is perfect? Not sure if we will attempt paint again. We go to see Sesame Street Live on Sunday so look for Elmo stickers update soon (gotta go buy them).

Band of the week-August 27

We're liking the wheels so here are some more wheels, monster wheels.

2nd Band of this Week-August 20

Well the paint didn't last very long. Turns out those stickers were paper stickers and they
started to peel quickly which was taking the paint too though it was already chipping anyway. So now we are wheeling it.
